Wei Chen
Wei Chen, the president of Tri-Can Consulting Ltd.
Wei possesses a variety of experiences from design manufacturing to construction. With strong emphases on quality product/project, his experience ensures a good balance between the best quality and most feasible product/project for the end owner. Wei has a unique special knowledge in various glazing system manufacturing and installation. Wei’s hands-on site experience provides a bridge between most feasible design and performance in any size of projects. Wei was also in charge of training for a prominent window manufacture’s installation crew. Wei has a strong interest in sustainable building and have completed several building with LEED Platinum, Gold and silver certification.

Energy Advisor
Our energy advisor has completed Master of Engineering in Building Science program at BCIT.
As an engineer-in-training and energy advisor, he holds strong fundamentals in building envelope systems and energy modelling. With a strong emphasis on moisture management, air barrier system and thermal performance combined with practical knowledge, he reviews various envelope systems on-site during construction phase.
In addition, by reviewing drawings and preparing building envelope detail packages, he helps to ensure the design meets the local building code and industry practices.
Moreover, with focus on energy efficient house through newly adopted STEP CODE, he also helps customers to achieve target STEP level required by many municipalities across Metro Vancouver. Registered as a program-qualified energy advisor (PQEA) with FortisBC, he also helps homeowners and general contractors to qualify for many rebates for new construction and renovation projects.
